My check in: I got a lot of feedback from my two brilliant beta readers and have therefore done a lot of editing and rewriting and clearing up sloppy moments. I think I might have gotten in about 300 extra words and may write more before I crash.

Day 18: 380 words -- guess I could have written 20 more to hit 400! Oh well. ;-) Lately I've been free-writing around a couple of essay ideas. But today I should go back to the Neverending Project, at least for a bit.

Congratulations on 380. That's close enough to 400 to just count it as such, anyway. I'm glad you're having time to write other things besides Neverending Project, but also glad you're going on with it. It sounds like an interesting and worthwhile project. So I give you Connor looking thoughtful and approving.
